The Business Plan

You are the most significant element in developing your business plan, but many people have difficulty getting their message across or assume that others have certain knowledge that they do not.

If you are passionate about your business (as you had better be), you may assume that others have the same understanding and passion.

Most will not have that passion.  You must build it and your business plan is the first and perhaps only chance you will have to develop that passion.  It needs to be done right the first time because most of the time, you only get one chance to make your impression.

We also recommend that businesses conduct a 5-yr review of any current business plans that exist; more often if there are significant changes to the company, the products, or the market.

Inevitably, there are changes that will have been made, visions that have been lost or modified, and management must routinely revisit those elements that are drivers to future business.  A recently revisited business plan is also a great way to reinforce the common goals and aspirations within and for the company and its future.

Is outsourcing business plan development expensive?  It can be if you have nothing more than a concept.  Most entrepreneurs however. already have very well developed fundamental business concepts in their head.  They know and understand their competition, and they have a pretty good handle on market drivers.  In that case, it is our job to extract that information and develop the business cases that support their ideas, uncover the pitfalls and weaknesses and suggest solutions.

In some cases, we have to do much more work.  In situations where a client is expanding into a new field or location or where the business processes have not been laid out or developed, dBusiness Group must delve into market dynamics including  sociometrics and psychographics, competitive analysis, and a complete financial package.  The costs are directly related to the amount of work to be done.

Of obvious consideration in developing the business plan is the size/complexity of the business plan.  Developing a business plan for a proposed dot-com or new clinic is far less involved than a plan aimed at launching a new product that is the first of its kind.

Whatever your operation, initial consultations are at no charge.  We will begin to gather information about your enterprise and give you an analysis of what we can do for you along with an anticipated timeline and estimated cost factors.

Contact us for a no-cost initial consultation.
